THe Different Areas of the Dominican Republic
January 26th 2012 -
The Dominican Republic is more heterogeneous than you may think at first. The northern coast is very different from the east coast and these coasts are both very different from the south coast. The north coast is much windier and it is always blowing all the time. This is why is very popular with the windsurfers. This includes Cabarete and Puerto Plata. The east coast is known now for its all inclusive resorts that provide luxury and provide one stop service. This includes Punta Cana and Bavaro The south coast is much more laid back and provides easy access to the Parque Nacional del Este which includes Saona Island. This includes Bayahibe and Dominicus.
